Equine Surgery

The Specialist Surgery Service performs a wide range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries at UQ Vets Equine Specialist  Hospital.

The surgical facility is comprised of two operating theatres, two anaesthetic recovery stalls and two purpose built crushes for standing procedures. The theatres are stocked with state of the art equipment including high definition endoscopes for laparoscopy and arthroscopy, fluoroscopy, locking compression plates, and a diode laser.

UQ VETS Surgeons are available 24 hours a day to handle emergencies.
