Dr Joanne Rainger

Specialist Veterinary Anaesthetist

UQ Researcher Profile

BVSc BSc (Vet) PhD FANZCVS, Dip Clin Studies

Dr Rainger  graduated from the University of Sydney in 1994. Following graduation she gained her PhD in the study of the “Pathogenesis of Equine Strangles”.

After the completion of a two year internship in veterinary anaesthesia at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital Camden (UVTHC), she commenced a residency program at the UVTHC. After the completion of her residency in veterinary anaesthesia and critical care, Joanne worked as a veterinary registrar at the UVTHC until October 2012.
Dr Rainger  is a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in veterinary anaesthesia and critical care and has recently attained her Specialist qualifications in Veterinary Anaesthesia by examination with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
Dr Rainger’s areas of interest include equine and ruminant anaesthesia.
